Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems

Students

The following students have made significant contributions to the Mprime project:

Adrian Dalca (MSc Student) - One of the co-authors of SHRiMP (worked on statistical evaluation of alignments), and the lead author of the VARiD tool.

Matei David (Former PhD student, now at Princeton) - The lead author on the latest (2.0) version of SHRiMP, currently working on improving the ADiR assembler.

Marc Fiume (MSc Student) - One of the co-authors of SHRiMP (worked on statistical evaluation of alignments), currently working on the Savant browser for visualing NGS data.

Misko Dzamba (BSc Student) - Working on CNV detection with ABI SOLiD data, especially in bacteria.

Steve Rumble (BSc grad, now at Stanford) - The lead author on the earlier versions of SHRiMP, and a contributor to VARiD.

Andrew Brook (BSc Student) - Working on the Savant Genome Browser.

In additon, we have been supported by professional programmers who are helping to make high-quality code from prototypes:

Daniel Lister (10/09-05/10) Worked on building the next major release of the SHRiMP toolkit.

Tim Smith (11/08-10/09) Worked on the ADiR package.
